Born to one of Hollywood’s most iconic film orchestrators, Dechter resides in Los Angeles as a seminal figure of West coast swing.
Dechter, a dual-citizen of jazz and commercial music, has toured and recorded with many of the most celebrated names in show business.
His credits include Michael Bublé, Seth MacFarlane, Quincy Jones, Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra, Natalie Cole, Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, Nancy Wilson, David Foster, Martina McBride, Shania Twain, Michael Feinstein, Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
As a leader, Dechter has released six studio albums — including co-led records with jazz giant Jeff Hamilton and long-time collaborator Alex Frank.
